What’s New for 2022?

The big news for the CT5 is the 2022 model will have the option for Cadillac Super Cruise, the semi-autonomous driving technology that aids in acceleration, braking, turns, and even lane changes. This option was hard to find last year due to the economy but now you can opt for this on the higher trim levels. A wireless smartphone charging pad is now standard across all trims. If you step up to the premium trim you get more ambient light additions such as illuminated door handles and several interior color options.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance:
  • The standard engine is a 237-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. This is a peppy engine that can get the job done while keeping your miles per gallon at 23/33.
  • Optional 335 twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine which can be on the Premium Luxury trim. This engine changes up the dynamic by giving plenty of torque once you put the pedal down. The quiet V6 engine will muscle you up to 60 miles per hour in no time.
  • The performance-oriented CT5-V boasts a staggering 360 horsepower with the same setup twin-turbocharged V6 but includes magnetic adaptive dampers to increase cornering and comfort. This is the quickest CT5 ever made and has a V mode to help give you the fastest acceleration. The adaptive dampers read the road ahead to give you a comfortable ride while maintaining the best performance.
All engine options are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel is standard. All wheel drive is an option on all trims.
